For all cuprate superconducting materials, which are practically used for various applications, have been developed through establishments of unique crystal engineering techniques, because those compounds have layered crystalstructures with multi-elements. Various technologies on crystal growth, crystal orientation and defect introduction, which are indispensable for the enhancement of material functionality will be introduced including recent topics such as a new large-scale crystal growth method and superconducting joints connecting cuprate superconducting.tapes.
