[20p-C206-4] Peculiar congruency of langasite-type crystal Ca3Ta(Ga1-xAlx)3Si2O14

Ca3Ta(Ga1-xAlx)3Si2O14 is a langasite type crystal and shows an extended stoichiometry and congruency for all solid solution range (0≤x≤1). This was demonstrated by a zero c-EMF during growth of any x and any growth rate. Such a complete congruency arises from the presence of an individual Ga-Al complex with each x in the melt.
