Ca₃Ta(Ga_1-xAl_x)₃Si₂O₁₄ is a langasite type crystal and shows an extended stoichiometry and congruency for all solid solution range (0≤x≤1). This was demonstrated by a zero c-EMF during growth of any x and any growth rate. Such a complete congruency arises from the presence of an individual Ga-Al complex with each x in the melt.
