[21a-B201-4] Analysis of dark matter event for its detection by nuclear emulsions
Keywords:Dark matter, Nuclear emulsions, Time-resolved photoconductivity
In order to detect dark matter (DM) particles by nuclear emulsions composed of AgBrI grains with average diameter of about 40 nm, the interaction between nuclear recoils formed on a DM event and AgBrI grains has been analyzed by means of time-resolved photoconductivity and other methods. As a result, such unique reconbination processes as direct recombination and reaction of irradiation-induces silver clusters and bromine molecules restrict the DM detection sensitivity. Thus, discussions have been made on ideas to enhance the DM detection sensitivity of the emulsions.
