Recently, Yamaguchi et al. at Toyota Technological University showed that the open-circuit voltage loss can be systematically evaluated by External Radiative Efficiency (ERE) in solar cells with a wide range of conversion efficiencies that also differ in material. In this study, we report on our investigation of the relationship between solar cell characteristics and emission in order to efficiently implement a top cell based on CZTS, which is promising as a multi-junction solar cell.
