[21a-C106-1] Chemical states at epoxy adhesive/aluminum interface

We investigated the adhesion mechanism at the interface between epoxy adhesive and aluminum. Employing SFG, STEM-EELS, and XPS, we found that the protonation of an amine hardener involved the change in the chemical state of Al surface: Al(OH)3 could be converted to Al2O3.
