We achieve output pulses of 100 ps duration, 10 MW output peak power, and 1 mJ energy of 2 MHz repetition rate by using ~ 1 m long LMA Erbium-doped tapered fiber around 1.53 µm wavelength. These high-energy pulses would be useful in 3D laser processing and remote sensing.
