Molecular materials composed of light elements have attracted attention as spin transport materials because of their relatively weak spin-orbit interaction. Therefore, the dynamical spin transport had been demonstrated for various single layer films of them. Although, for application, the spin transport mechanism in the stacking structure needs to be elucidated, the dynamical spin transport in multilayer molecular films has not been well studied yet.
In this study, we attempted to demonstrate the dynamical spin transport in pentacene/PTCDA bi-layer films. Output voltages observed in the palladium (Pd) layer at ferromagnetic resonance field changed their signs with reversal of the external static magnetic field orientation angle and those magnitude were in proportion to microwave power. From the above, it is concluded that the electromotive force detected in the Pd layer is converted by the inverse spin-Hall effect, i.e., spin transport in molecular bi-layer films is demonstrated.
