[21a-P02-38] First-principles calculation of spin/anomalous Hall conductivities and magnetocrystalline anisotropy in bilayer Co/5d heavy metals

Keywords:first-principles calculation, spin Hall conductivity, anomalous Hall conductivity

The spin/anomalous Hall conductivities and magnetocrystalline anisotropy energy of Co/5d heavy metals (HM = Ta, W, Re, Os, Ir, Pt) were investigated. From the energy dependence, it was found that the spin Hall conductivity shows the maximum value (minimum value) near the upper band edge (lower band edge) of m=±2 states of HM d orbital. In the presentation, we will discuss anomalous Hall conductivity and magnetocrystalline anisotropy against the Fermi energy and present guidelines for materials design in which these properties are well optimized.
