[21a-P02-46] Electric field control of the superconducting transition temperature in a YBCO/LSMO/PMN-PT heterostructure
Keywords:multiferroics, superconductivity
Superconductors thinner than the charge-shielding length and the superconducting coherence length are sensitive to lattice distortion and carrier doping, and therefore the superconducting transition temperature (Tc) can be controlled by electric field. However, there have been few reports on electric field control of Tc for superconductors thicker than the superconducting coherence length. In this study, we have found that the Tc of YBCO thicker than the superconducting coherence length is controllable by electric field using an interfacial multiferroic structure based on a piezoelectric substrate PMN-PT(001) and a ferromagnetic LSMO film.
