[21a-P02-49] Angle-dependent X-ray magnetic circular dichroism and electronic structure for L10-type alloys: From the first-principles calculations

Keywords:Angle-dependent X-ray magnetic circular dichroism, first-principles calculations, transition metal alloy

X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) is a powerful tool for element-selective observation of magnetic structures in ferromagnets, but theoretical analysis of the microscopic origin of angle-dependent XMCD spectra is lacking. We have developed an angle-dependent XMCD calculation method using first-principles calculations. In this presentation, we will discuss microscopic origins of changes in the angle-dependent XMCD spectral on the basis of electronic structures and p-d transition probabilities in L10-type FePt and CoPt alloys.
