ABX3 typed perovskite quantum dots (PeQDs) have attracted attention as a light source for next generation optical materials due to their excellent properties. However, because of low thermal stability on PeQDs, they have not been put to practical use. In detail, the optical properties of PeQDs were degraded under high temperature condition, which is because the ligand desorption of PeQD surface. As a result, it causes to collapse the PeQD crystal structure.
Herein, PeQDs with high thermal stability were successfully prepared by adding ZnBr2 to solve these issues. As a result, PeQDs with ZnBr2 maintained 83% of initial photoluminescence quantum yields after 12 hours at 100oC.
