Topological photonic insulator are drawing attention in photonic application, owning to their edge states protection. GaN nanostructures are attractive materials due to its electro-optical properties in the visible spectrum. In this work we propose novel GaN-based cladding structures: slab and bulk types. In addition, the cladding characteristics and performance are systematically characterized.
