Topological PhC has strong robustness against crystal defects and bending, and is expected to be applied to novel optical devices such as topological bulk-edge lasers, since it exhibits unique propagation phenomena such as unidirectional propagation and scattering-free propagation. We report on the structure dependence of GaN-based membrane topological PhC in the short wavelength region of visible light by performing photonic band calculations of three-dimensional (3D) models using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method.
