Recently, we proposed a two-element arrayed RTD oscillator coupled with a common stabilization resistor operating in odd-mode, where two RTDs oscillate in anti-phase. Because the total AC current flowing through the common resistor was canceled due to the odd-mode operation, the conduction loss of the common resistor becomes small. Therefore, one can employ smaller RTD mesas with maintaining the oscillation condition in the arrayed device, and thus, a higher frequency oscillation can be achieved. In this study, we demonstrate an increase in the oscillation frequency owing to the reduction in the conduction loss using the odd-mode operation in arrayed RTD oscillator.
