[21p-A404-3] Bull’s Eye Antenna–Silicon Waveguide Coupling Device in the Terahertz Region

In this research, we propose an antenna-waveguide coupling device that uses a bull's eye antenna as a thin antenna and a waveguide made of high-resistance silicon as a low-loss waveguide. The structure of the antenna and the waveguide was formed by micromachining of silicon, and the antenna was plated with copper. When a 0.46 THz wave was incident on the antenna side and a polarizer and a detector were placed near the end face of the waveguide, the wave with the polarization component perpendicular to the antenna substrate was detected.
