▼ [21p-B202-2] Investigation on MoS2 Thin-film for Solar Cell Applications
Keywords:TMDC materials, Thin-film Solar Cells, Reactive Sputtering
Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) materials have a great potential for ultra-thin solar cells due to their high absorption coefficient. Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), one of the TMDC materials, is expected to have high net absorbance and high photocurrent generation.
In this work, MoS2 films were deposited on quartz by reactive sputtering. We investigated the optical and electronic properties of MoS2 films. With these measured parameters, we defined a homojunction structure in simulation software and obtained the 28.8% simulated power conversion efficiency of the solar cell made from MoS2.
