We developed a light-assisted timeresolved scanning tunneling spectroscopy system by combining the pump-probe technique with scanning tunneling microsopy, in which light illumination is used as pump and application of variable-height bias voltage pulse is used as probe. The system has an energy resolution in STS mode in addition to as high spatial resolution as STM and nanosecond time resolution. It was applied to investigate ultrafast photocarrier dynamics in WSe2 from nanosecond evolution of STM I-V characteristics. The time resolved I-V characteristic measured with varying the pulse height and their physical interpretation with some technical details will be discussed at the presentation.
