With the aim of developing high-efficiency flexible thermoelectric devices, we have investigated to form vertically ZnO-nanorods on conductive NiCu fabrics by microwave-assisted solvothermal synthesis, as a thermoelectric material. By using microwave, the synthesis time could be drastically shortened, comparing to a conventional solvothermal method with furnace. In addition, dense ZnO nanorods with a diameter of several tens nm could be formed over the NiCu fabric surface and its diameter increases and its number density decreases with increasing the microwave irradiation time.
