[21p-P12-3] Elucidation of growth mechanism of single-walled carbon nanotubes by in situ XAFS analysis: Comparison of Fe and Ni catalysts

We have clarified the chemical bond state of Co and Fe catalysts during SWCNT growth by in-situ X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) measurement. It is known that these catalysts exist in different states during growth. For Ni, which is another iron group element and whose SWCNT growth has been reported, the chemical bond state during SWCNT growth by the alcohol CVD method was analyzed by in-situ XAFS measurement. And it was combined with the Fe catalyst, which is the same iron group element, we considered the difference in the generation mechanism of SWCNT.
