[21p-P14-12] Development of a parallel dose calculation application for X-ray therapy

We developed a parallel X-ray dose calculation application using Geant4 and validated the results. The application was made multi-threaded to reduce calculation time without sacrificing accuracy. We achieved a computation throughput almost proportional to the number of cores used. We confirmed that the computation results were consistent between single-threaded and multi-threaded modes. We have successfully developed a prototype of an application that can more efficiently perform dose calculations using a multi-core CPU.
