In this study, we investigated the preparation of an antiviral thin film with high transmittance for the purpose of imparting an antiviral effect to a transparent substrate such as a touch panel. A monovalent copper compound nanoparticle dispersion was used as a substance exhibiting an antiviral effect, and a vacuum deposition in which the film thickness could be controlled on the nano-order was used as the film deposition method. The antiviral thin film obtained in this study showed high transmittance in the visible range, and showed high antiviral activity in antiviral tests conducted using influenza virus (H3N2).
