[22a-A101-2] "Off-shell science" opened up by dressed photon studies: a tangible example

Hirofumi Sakuma1 (1.RODreP)

Keywords:off-shell science

The most important endeavor recently done in developing a fundamental theory of dressed photon phenomena was the understanding the role played by off-shell quantum fields which are inevitable elements for quantum field interactions. Recall that the well-known on-shell condition for a quantum particle, though its simplest form: E=mc^{2} is quite famous as one of the great achievements of the 20th century physics, only represents non-interacting free field. In this presentation, we explain one of the cutting-edge research themes on off-shell fields.
