[22a-A402-7] Czochralski-growth and characterization of Tm3+-doped mixed sesquioxide crystal

We present spectroscopic investigations and laser operation of a Czochralski-grown Tm3+:YScO3 mixed sesquioxide crystal. Tm3+-doped mixed sesquioxide shows a broad and flat gain spectrum, and their reduced melting temperature enabeles high-quality crystal growth by the Czochralski method from Iridium crucibles. They are promising candidates as commercially avairable gain material for 2 µm ultrafast lasers.
