Artificial ferromagnetic/ferroelectric multiferroic heterostructures have been widely investigated for the control of magnetism and magnetic anisotropy. In order to investigate the origin of electric field control, we developed the x-ray absorption and magnetic circular dichroism spectroscopies under applying electric field. For the interface between Heusler alloy Co2FeSi and ferroelectric PMN-PT, we report the modulation of orbital magnetic moments by reversible strain through the electric field.
