[22a-B203-1] Multi-step growth of vertically aligned carbon nanotubes on metal substrates

Vertically aligned carbon nanotubes (VACNTs) have been studied as anode electrodes for lithium-ion batteries. However, the amount of VACNTs grown directly on metal substrates is not sufficient. In this study, we optimized the structure of VACNT by the multi-step synthesis. The VACNTs were characterized by the scanning electron microscope and Raman spectroscopy. We confirm that the CNT length and crystallinity increased by the multi-step synthesis.
