[22a-C101-4] Proposal and numerical analysis of surface normal optical modulator using InP high-contrast grating and electro-optic polymer

Towards massive array of high-speed optical modulators, we have proposed a surface-normal optical modulator using InP high contrast grating and electro-optic polymer. From numerical analysis, we have reveiled that ultra-high speed (>40GHz) and low-loss (~0.2 dB) modulator can be realized, thanks to the small optical absorption and high electron mobility of n-InP.
