Keywords:magnetic thin films

The magneto-plasmonic (MP) effect, in which the excitation conditions of surface plasmons change depending on the external magnetic field, has been reported and is expected to be applied to magnetic sensors. In this study, we focused on a Mn-Zn ferrite, which is a magnetic oxide with excellent soft magnetic properties, as a metal/dielectric magnetic bilayer structure that can separate the excitation of surface plasmon and magnetic properties, and investigated the MP effect and improvement of its sensitivity in Ag/Mn-Zn ferrite bilayer thin films.
