Rare sugars are known as ‘healthy sugars’ due to their effects on health improvement such as suppressing blood sugar levels. We successfully synthesized Rare-Sugar Lipids (RSLs) to apply for a medication such as drag delivery system. It is necessary to find out the effects of RSLs and their micelle formation on the body. This study aims to discover RSLs’ cytotoxicity mechanisms for the human cells. In this presentation, we discuss the measurement of RSL’s micelle diameter by QCM-D and Interferometric Light Microscopy (ILM), and analyze the results of RSLs’ cytotoxicity tests and the diameter measurement.
