Recently, we have reported that SAW induces a field-dependent DC voltage in heavy metal/ferromagnetic metal bilayers, which originates from the combination of AC spin current generation via spin-orbit interaction and magnetoelastic magnetization oscillation by SAW. In general, larger voltage is obtained by smaller saturation magnetization. Therefore, use of rare earth-transition metal ferrimagnetic alloy as a magnetic layer is expected to significantly enhance the field-dependent acoustic voltage since its magnetization can be set to near zero by tuning the composition. In the presentation, we will discuss the Gd composition dependence of the acoustic voltage in W/GdxCo1-x.
