[22p-B200-1] High performance thermoelectric materials & power generation modules to power IoT devices

Takao Mori1,2 (1.NIMS, 2.Univ. Tsukuba)

Keywords:thermoelectric material, power generation module

We are developing thermoelectrics which can autonomously power the trillion IoT sensors & devices necessary to realize Society 5.0. New principles and informatics were utilized to develop new high performance thermoelectric materials, and thermoelectric modules of various form & design have been fabricated with processes compatible with industry and mass production, together with developent of thermal management technologies. As one example, we have been successful in demonstrating thermoelectric materials & devices which can replace the more than half century champion bismuth telluride-based technology.
