We will ask the invited presenters of this symposium about the roles of the academia and the industries for the social implementation of the thermoelectric researches. We will discuss about the necessary perspectives for the basic materials researches, the required properties and characters for applications, and the necessary technologies for the product development. We will also discuss about the effective ways to fill the gap between the academia and the industries for effective collaborations, from the perspectives of the young and veteran researchers.
