Since localized short-time heavy rainfall is more difficult to predict than normal weather, it is necessary to obtain and share more localized and real-time rainfall information. Flexible sensors can be attached to umbrella surfaces and other objects due to their mechanical flexibility and light weight, and can sense local information in real time. This study reports that the volume of water droplets could be detected by Reservoir Computing (RC) analysis of signals obtained from a flexible rain sensor.
