[22p-B203-19] Dip-and Dry Fabrication of High Conductive Cotton Fabrics using Single-Wall Carbon Nanotube Inks

We have demonstrated fabrication of electrically conductive cotton fabrics with a low sheet resistance. The electrically conductive fabrics attract much attention as materials for flexible devices. We used N,N-dimethyl-formamide (DMF) as a solvent, in which single-wall carbon nanotubes were dispersed without any dispersant. The electrically conductive cotton fabrics were fabricated using a simple polydopamine (PDA)-assisted dip-and dry method. The low sheet resistance of 9 ± 2 Ω/sq after the 3rd Dip was achieved by utilizing the DMF solvent, in which the SWCNTs can be dispersed without dispersant. Since the dispersants are not included in the SWCNT-PDA-cotton fabrics, the SWCNTs can have direct electrical contacts with each other. The fabricated electrically conductive cotton fabric showed the lowest sheet resistance in the relevant scientific papers reported so far.
