△ [22p-C106-11] Observation of electronic structure by deep ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy and photoelectron spectroscopy of insulating polymers and additives showing streaming electrification
Keywords:streaming electrification, insulator, photoelectron spectroscopy
Electret filters, a material in which a polypropylene (PP) base material is given an electrostatic charge from the method of flow charging by contact with water, are in use. It is known that the addition of light stabilizers (HALS) to the PP base material improves its electrification properties. In this study, to investigate the reason for this improvement, we report on the usefulness of this technique by using deep ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy and photoelectron spectroscopy to measure PP, PP with HALS, and a single HALS film as the base material of an electret filter.
