When an ultrashort pulse suffering the sharp molecular absorptions is coupled into optical fibers, we can obtain the phenomenon of periodical spectral peaking at the fiber output. In this work, we demonstrated the spectral peak generation by the water vapor absorption in air using ultrashort pulse at wavelength of 1.85 um generated with the fiber laser system.
