Hydrogels are one of the promising materials to be used for supercapacitors since they can easily retain liquid electrolytes. We demonstrated the direct fabrication of electrically conductive structures on agarose/lignin hydrogels by laser-induced graphitization. The addition of lignin increases the absorbed energy, as well as the carbon content, which may lead to the facilitation of graphitization. The structures fabricated from agarose/lignin hydrogels containing electrolytes were applied for supercapacitors.
