[22p-P02-5] Terahertz wavefront and polarization imaging system to measure 0.5THz vector beams

Since metals show a flat optical response in the frequency range lower than optical region, optics working in ultra-wideband range can be fabricated by devising the metallic structures. We have prepared vector beam polarizers (VBP) in which the segments of metallic wire-grid polarizers for the optical wave are ordered as the transparent axis directed to radial or azimuthal direction from the center of the VBP. We have confirmed the vector beam generation in the 4 THz band and the optical region, when corresponding circular polarized optical vortices are incident to the VBPs. This time, we will report the VBP generation at 0.5 THz much lower than previous results.
