[22p-P13-1] Image Recognition using Bacteriorhodopsin Gabor filter

In this research, we have attempted to construct artificial visual function devices without power supply in imitation of the visual function of a living body. As the target of the visual function, we focused on Gabor filter that imitates visual receptive fields of primary visual cortex simple cells in cerebrum. In previous reports, we have discussed a fabrication of Gabor filter using bacteriorhodopsin via inkjet method and its photocurrent characteristics. Herein, we will report the evaluation of the image recognition function of our Gabor filters using images of various shapes.
