▼ [23a-A105-3] Functional Circuit Design and Measurement for Optical Power Transfer-based Biomedical and Internet-of-Things Devices
Keywords:optical power transfer, biomedical, digital design
Biomedical and internet-of-things (IoT) microdevices enable new modes of data acquisition for health and environmental monitoring. These devices usually have strict power and performance constraint due to its size. To realize a low-cost and compact microdevice, we proposed a powering scheme based on optical power transfer (OPT).
We are developing an improved functional circuit based on OPT and intermittent operation. The circuit consists of a digital core (controller) and oscillator, which forms the processing unit. The circuit is currently focused on optical ID transmission. Expanding on the circuit concept first described in, In this article we report the results of the measurement of the finished circuit.
