Measurement informatics, the fusion of measurement science and information science, is making great progress. Diverse research is being conducted in such areas as measurement data analysis using information science technology, development of information science technology for measurement data, enhancement of data management infrastructure, speeding up and autonomous measurement, multiscale and multimodalization of measurement data, and causal analysis. In this symposium, we invite leading experts in each field to present a wide range of perspectives from innovative measurement informatics technologies to future prospects for industrial applications. The symposium will provide an overview of the field of measurement informatics, introduce cutting-edge research cases, and link them to the development of informatics applications.
