[23a-C301-6] Optical vortex induced spiral gold structures in hydrogel
Keywords:Optical vortex, hydrogel, Laser processing
A chiral structure can be fabricated by irradiating a material with an optical vortex having an annular intensity distribution and orbital angular momentum derived from a helical wavefront. The PEGDA hydrogel to which gold ions were added was irradiated with a light vortex to deposit gold particles in the hydrogel through photoreduction. When the photoreduced part was irradiated with light, spiral transmitted light was observed. In addition, an aggregate of gold particles, which looked like a circular ring in the vicinity of the focal point, changed to a structure opened in the radial direction, and rotation of the circular ring part was visually confirmed. It was experimentally verified that the gold particles deposited by photoreduction were helically ordered.
