[23a-C302-8] Polarization and magnetic field dependence of 133Cs D-line using saturated absorption spectroscopy
Keywords:Laser, Spectroscopy, Cesium
In this study, we observed saturated absorption spectrum of the alkali metal 133Cs, in the codistion of a very weak Pump light used with a magnetic field applied to some polarization configuration. In particular, interesting results were obtained for 6S1/2 [F=2] → 6P2/3 [F' =3] in a polarization configuration. In order to discuss the obtained results, we also tried to measure other transitions
under various polarization configurations and magnetic field conditions. Transition probabilities between Zeeman sublevels were also obtained from the Wigner-Eckart theorem. Furthermore, the Clebsch-Gordan coefficients were used to quantify the strength of the transitions.
