[23p-A101-2] Enhancement mechanism of SERRS by dipole-quadrupole coupled plasmon Fano resonance
Keywords:plasmon, SERS, Fano resonance
The molecular dipole interacting with enhanced electric field by plasmon resonance localized in the gap between the dimer of silver nanoparticles and nanowires interacts causes Raman enhancement, which enables single molecule Raman scattering spectroscopy. This phenomenon is called surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and is associated with many novel phenomena such as ultrafast fluorescence and strong coupling. By single dimer spectroscopy, we found two kinds of dimers, those spectral shape of SERS correlate (type I) or uncorrelate (type II) with plasmon resonance spectra. We report the mechanism generating type I and type II by comparing the experimental results with the electromagnetic analysis results.
