Metronomic photodynamic therapy (mPDT) is a cancer therapy in which a photosensitizing agent is excited by continuous weak light irradiation to produce an anti-tumor effect over a long time. In this study, we developed a thin-film light-emitting device based on highly flexible poly(lactic acid). In addition, we verified the local photosensitizing effect of the light-emitting device using photosensitizer-incorporated cancer cells.
