The neurotransmitter in the spinal dorsal horn is enhanced during chronic pain. However, there is no method to record the functional change in neuronal activity in the spinal dorsal horn. Based on our silicon-growth technology, we fabricate a flexible-substrate based–microneedle electrode device for acute and chronic neural recordings in the spinal dorsal horn.
