▲ [23p-B101-2] Energy Transfer Performances of Nanocrystal Quantum-Dots for Si Nanowire-based Photovoltaic Applications
キーワード:Nanowires, Nanocrystals, Solar cells
Silicon nanowires (SiNWs) are regarded as one of the most promising nanostructures for next-generation devices due to their outstanding electrical and optical properties. The decoupling of charge carrier collection and light absorption directions with enhanced light trapping using NW structures can resolve the drawbacks of bulk Si solar cells. Although SiNW-based solar cells have been suggested to minimize spectral mismatch optical loss to a great extent by efficient light trapping, surface and bulk recombination losses play a dominant role in reducing power conversion efficiency (PCE). Therefore, overcoming these issues together with increasing photogenerated charge carriers is significant to realizing high-efficiency SiNW-based solar cells. In this study, SiNW and nanostructure substrates synthesized by top-down techniques using wet-chemical were demonstrated for solar cell fabrication conjugating with conducting polymer called poly 3, 4-ethylene dioxythiophene: polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS). Nonradiative energy transfer (NRET) using nanocrystal Si quantum dots (nc-Si QDs) has been proposed for hybrid nanostructures that combine absorbing components with SiNW-based solar cells to open new possibilities in light-harvesting.
