▲ [23p-B201-2] Alternation of Magnetic Anisotropy Accompanied by Metal-Insulator Transition in Strained Ultrathin Manganite Heterostructures

LaAlO3/La0.6Sr0.4MnO3(LSMO)/Nb:SrTiO3 heterostructures show the alternation of the magnetic anistropy accompanied with metal-insulator transition (MIT) by changing the thickness of the LSMO layer. We elucidated the electronic and magnetic states using photoemission spectroscopy and magnetic circular dichroism to understand the alternation of magnetic anisotropy. The results indicate that the change in the exchange interaction by MIT and the effects of the distortion alter the magnetic anisotropy.
