[23p-B203-8] Polarization-Dependent Optical Response in Dirac Semimetal PtSe₂

PtSe₂, a transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC), changes from a Dirac semimetal to a semiconductor as it is exfoliated from bulk to monolayer. While the polarization-dependent optical response to Dirac semimetals and thin film TMDCs has attracted much attention, little is known about PtSe₂. In this presentation, we will report the results of helicity-resolved Raman spectroscopy of an exfoliated thin PtSe₂ film onto a Si/SiO₂ substrate.
