Expectations have been placed on materials informatics, which incorporates data science and machine learning methods for new materials and substances. There have been many success stories in "what to make? (prediction and design of materials)”. In the future, it will be important to work closely with process informatics, which explore "how to produce", and measurement informatics, which examine "what is being made", and to tackle materials creation research on the next stage.
