[22a-E307-6] Fabrication of PDMS nanofibers by electrospinning

〇Satoshi Tachibana1 (1.Mie Univ.)

Keywords:PDMS, Electrospinning

It has been reported that PDMS can be converted into fibers with excellent mechanical properties by electrospinning and heat treatment, but the fiber structure forms a mesh structure, and the PDMS flows and unifies during the curing process. However, the fiber structure formed a mesh structure, and the PDMS flowed and integrated during the curing process. In this study, to solve this problem, fibers with an average diameter of 8.4 ± 2.6 µm were fabricated by complexing with polyethylene oxide and terminally modifying the PDMS to accelerate the crosslinking reaction. The elastic modulus, maximum stress, and elongation at break of the fibers showed mechanical strengths of 17 [MPa], 0.1 [N/mm²], and 0.75 [%], respectively.
